Please review these terms before booking. By reserving a vehicle with Colorado Cool Cars, you agree to the policies below.

Booking & Rental Agreement Overview

Colorado Cool Cars (“CCC,” “we,” “us”) provides peer-to-peer style vehicle rentals offered through our direct booking site and/or integrated platforms. Your reservation may also require acceptance of a separate Rental Agreement at checkout. If there’s any conflict, the platform terms and the signed Rental Agreement control.

  • No smoking; pets only with prior approval

  • Damage, cleaning, fuel, and late-return fees may apply

  • Airport delivery: vehicles are delivered to nearby off-airport lots (no terminal curbside/front-door service). Guests take the lot’s free shuttle or Uber/Lyft to pickup.

Rules of the Road (Quick Summary)

  • Out-of-state travel (prior approval required): Leaving Colorado requires prior written approval. Please message us your destination state(s) and route before pickup. Unapproved out-of-state travel will result in an out-of-state surcharge and may be treated as a violation of the Rental Agreement.

  • No smoking or vaping in or near the vehicle. Smoking fee: $250 minimum (may be higher if ozone/detailing or lost bookings occur).

  • Pets by approval only. If approved, pet cleaning fees may apply ($75–$150 depending on hair/odor/sand).

  • Fuel: Return at the same fuel level as pickup. If not, we charge fuel cost + $25 convenience fee.

  • Mileage: Any overage miles are billed at $0.45/mi (details shown at checkout).

  • No off-roading or driving on unmaintained roads unless explicitly approved in writing for that vehicle.

  • Tolls & tickets: Guest is responsible. If we process/forward, admin fee: $10 (plus tolls/fees).

  • Late returns: Late fees apply; $25/hour after any grace period, plus any impact to the next reservation.

  • Keep it clean: Excessive mess, stains, or odors may incur cleaning, $75 (standard) / $150 (heavy).

  • Report issues immediately (warning lights, damage, flat tire, etc.).

Airport Delivery (DIA): 
Denver International Airport is approximately 25 miles from our base. Under our delivery tiers, DIA delivery is typically $120 (21–30 miles). Vehicles are delivered to a nearby off-airport parking lot (no terminal curbside/front-door service). Guests will take the lot’s free shuttle or Uber/Lyft to the pickup location.

Fees & Deposits

Deposits & checkout totals
A reservation deposit is collected at booking (shown at checkout). The remaining balance, taxes, and any selected add-ons are also shown at checkout.


Delivery fees
Delivery is optional and priced by distance tier at checkout. DIA delivery is typically $120 (about 25 miles from our base). Vehicles are delivered to a nearby off-airport parking lot (no curbside/front-door terminal service). Guests will take the lot’s free shuttle or Uber/Lyft to the pickup location.


Mileage
Included miles (if applicable) are shown at checkout. Mileage over the included amount is billed at $0.45 per mile.


Fuel
Return the vehicle at the same fuel level as pickup. If returned low, we’ll charge the cost of fuel plus a convenience fee (shown/defined in the Rental Agreement).


Late return
Late returns may incur late fees and may impact the next guest. Repeated or significant delays may be treated as an unauthorized extension.

Cleaning, pets, and smoke

  • Smoking/Vaping: No smoking or vaping in or near the vehicle. Smoke odor or evidence may result in a smoking remediation fee.

  • Pets: Pets are only allowed with prior approval. If approved, a pet cleaning fee may apply.

  • Excessive mess: Excessive dirt, stains, spills, or odors may result in additional cleaning charges.

Tolls, tickets, and violations
Guests are responsible for all tolls, tickets, citations, and related penalties. If we process or pay on your behalf, an administrative fee may apply.

 

Out-of-state surcharge (if not approved in advance):
If the vehicle is taken out of Colorado without prior written approval, the following surcharge applies:

  • Neighboring states (WY, NE, KS, OK, NM, UT): $35/day (cap $175)

  • All other states: $75/day (cap $300)

Damage
Any damage during the trip is the guest’s responsibility, subject to the protections and exclusions in the chosen coverage and the Rental Agreement.

Cancellation Policy

Your cancellation terms are shown at booking and follow the cancellation policy selected at checkout. Changes/shortened trips may result in prorated refunds per the platform policy.

Insurance & Liability

Insurance options (if offered) and coverage details are selected during checkout. Guests remain responsible for prohibited use, policy exclusions, violations, and any amounts not covered due to misuse or breach of the Rental Agreement.


Prohibited use includes (not limited to): reckless driving, towing (unless explicitly approved), off-roading (unless approved), racing, driving under the influence, and allowing unapproved drivers.

Need help?

For billing questions or disputes, contact us first so we can review trip photos, receipts, and platform documentation. Unauthorized chargebacks may pause future bookings until resolved.
