Can I use my own insurance instead of Wheelbase Protection?
Yes. You may use your personal auto insurance if it meets our coverage requirements. You will upload your insurance declarations page during the booking process so we can verify active coverage.
Premium-tier SUVs may require Wheelbase Protection, even if you carry personal insurance.
What is Wheelbase Protection?
Wheelbase Protection is a coverage option offered through our booking system. It provides rental-specific coverage for guests who prefer not to use—or do not qualify to use—their personal auto insurance.
Availability varies by vehicle tier.
How is insurance verified?
All insurance verification is handled securely through our Wheelbase booking system.
Wheelbase reviews your documentation, confirms that your policy is active, and ensures that coverage levels meet our minimum requirements before your trip begins.
What if my personal insurance does no meet the requirements?
If your policy does not provide sufficient protection for the vehicle you selected, you will need to purchase Wheelbase Protection during checkout.

What is your cancellation policy?
We offer a full refund for cancellations made 24 or more hours before the scheduled pickup time.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup receive a 50% refund.
Same-day cancellations, no-shows, or cancellations caused by missing requirements (invalid license, no insurance, unpaid deposit, underage driver) are non-refundable.
Are cancellation terms different for Premium SUVs?
During peak seasons or for premium-tier vehicles, a 48-hour cancellation window may apply. This will be clearly stated during your booking when applicable.
Do you offer weather-related cancellations?
If severe weather makes travel unsafe, we offer a full credit toward a future trip. Credits do not expire.
Do you provide refunds for early vehicle returns?
No. Once the rental period begins, unused days are non-refundable.
Why do taxes and fees vary by pickup location?
All vehicle rentals are subject to applicable state and local taxes. The total tax and fee amount is automatically calculated based on the pickup location selected during booking.
Airport and airport-area pickup locations typically include additional local taxes and transportation-related fees, which can result in a higher total than residential or neighborhood pickups. These charges are required by local jurisdictions and are not set by Colorado Cool Cars.
Wheelbase automatically calculates, collects, and remits all required taxes and fees at checkout, so there are no surprises after booking.
Guests looking to minimize taxes and fees may prefer selecting a residential pickup location when available.

You’ll select your preferred pickup location during the booking process, and detailed instructions will be sent after your reservation is confirmed.
We currently offer three pickup options:
1. Airport-area pickup (ParkDIA)
Some of our vehicles are available for pickup at ParkDIA, an off-airport parking facility near Denver International Airport. These vehicles are designated as airport-area pickups. ParkDIA provides a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Detailed shuttle instructions are included after booking.
2. Home base pickup (Englewood – near Hampden Ave & Santa Fe)
Many vehicles are available for pickup at our Englewood home base near Hampden Avenue and Santa Fe Drive. The exact pickup address and instructions are provided after booking.
3. Airport-area pickup (The Parking Spot South)
Select vehicles may be delivered to Parking Spot South near DIA for an additional delivery fee. The Parking Spot provides a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Detailed shuttle instructions are included after booking.
4. Local delivery (within 5 miles of our home base)
For an additional delivery fee, we offer delivery to select locations within five (5) miles of our Englewood home base. Availability and pricing are shown during booking.
The exact pickup or delivery location is determined by the vehicle selected and the option chosen at checkout.
Taxes and fees vary by pickup location and are calculated automatically at checkout.

Yes. We offer local delivery to custom locations within 5 miles of our Englewood home base for an additional delivery fee.
This includes residential addresses, hotels, office buildings, and nearby transit stations that allow short-term vehicle access. Any parking fees incurred during pickup or return are the guest’s responsibility.
Delivery options will appear during the booking process when available.
What happens if I return the vehicle late?
Hourly late fees apply after the grace period.
Significant delays may result in an additional day’s charge.
What fuel level should I return the vehicle with?
Return the vehicle with the same fuel level it had at pickup.
What is your cleaning policy?
Return the vehicle reasonably clean:

A cleaning fee applies if extra detailing is required.

Unauthorized out-of-state travel may void coverage and deposit.

Light, well-maintained dirt roads are allowed.
Off-roading, rock crawling, deep mud, or unmaintained trails are strictly prohibited.
Can I tow trailers or equipment?
Towing is not permitted unless your reservation includes special written approval.
Is smoking allowed in the vehicle?
No smoking or vaping. A fee applies if smoke odors are detected.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are allowed only in approved vehicles and must be disclosed before pickup. A pet cleaning fee may apply.
